Actor Maintain [S42]
Overview
This screen allows the user to create or maintain an actor (a Zeus user).

An actor can be found by either using the standard search functions.

Rules
Depending upon the user permissions, the ability to view, update or create may be restricted.

Any fields which are mandatory and left blank will be highlighed when the update or create buttons are clicked. A message will explain why the data has not been saved.

Some fields are numeric and these will show a vaildation error if non numeric data is entered when the update or create buttons are clicked.

If your own account is restcricted then you may be restricted in what you can do in this screen. For example if your account is restricted to a scheme, multi scheme, or group then you will not be able to set the value of these dropdowns.

Actor Restrictions

Some actors (most actors) have restricted access to Zeus screens and Zeus data. The following restrictions should stop any user seeing any data that they are not authorised to see (throughout Zeus).

When an actor's record is on screen you should be able to see a list of Depots to which the actor can be assigned and unassigned. Where the actor is restricted to a set of depots then this depot list will be enforced throughout Zeus. This is especially useful for restricting depot specific staff and as well as hiding data which they should not be able to see it also means that there should be less irrelevant data blocking their screens.

To associate an actor with a customer (typically where a customer has been given a login) you need to set the customer id. One way to do this is to enter the supplier id in the textbox provided and then update the actor's record. The other way is to enter the beginning of the supplier's company name and  then click the wizard button to activate the customer finder wizard which should show a list of all matching customers. If you select one of these customers then the id will be returned to the actor maintain screen and you will need to click the update button to save the change. To remove this link, click the clear button and then update the record.

To associate an actor with a scheme (typically this will be a user who is a scheme holder) you need to set the scheme link from the dropdown.

To associate an actor with a multi scheme (typically this will be a user who is a multi scheme holder) you need to set the multi scheme link from the dropdown. A multi scheme is a group of schemes.

To associate the actor with a group choose a group from the dropdown.
