Operation
This data is available from this website

There are 2 methods.

Method 1 : Upload a csv file from your local computer

There are some csv files which first need to be made into a single csv file. This is how you do it...
From windows, Start, Run, cmd, return
Go to the csv file path (eg cd c:\myFolder\csv)
Make a single csv file (copy *.csv PostcodeData.csv)

* Note : you may have to break this task down into several smaller files.

Now that you have your csv file you are ready to upload them into Zeus. Zeus will delete all existing records in tb_PSCPostcode (if the checkbox is checked) and populate this table with the data from your csv file.

The data mapping is correct at 26.7.10 and may change in the future. The coordinates in the CSV files are data points in GB national grid format.

When the data is being uploaded the eastings and northings will be converted to latitude and longitude points.

Use the browse button to locate the csv file to import on your machine and the upload button to import the postcodes.

NOTE : The csv file may be too big. In this case the browser may fail. If this happens you should look at method 2.

Method 2 : Upload a csv file from the web server

This requires access to the Zeus2 web server. You will need to copy your csv file directly to the path-name shown on the screen.

Then you simply click the upload button

A checkbox is available to control whether the existing postcodes in tb_PSCPostcodeOS are deleted before the batch is imported. This is only used if you are importing from several csv files and in this case you would only leave the checkbox checked for the first file to be imported.

When the postcodes have been imported you can use the mapping coordinate batch update tool to update the supplier coordinates.
