Customer Finder [Z5]
Overview
This wizard helps the user to find an existing Customer using part of the customer name and/or postcode. When entering a new customer or translating a prospect... This wizard is designed to help us to only enter customers who are not already on Zeus2. It is easy to create duplicate customers by mistake and by using the postcode and/or customer name we can make sure that the customer does not already exist. When looking for a supplier... This wizard may help to find a customer in various places within Zeus2. This wizard can be called in one of two modes i) Find an exact match for the data being sent to the wizard ii) Find a more loose match for the data being sent to the wizard The user may be presented with two buttons to decide which mode is used and they should soon be able to get a feel for the way that the two modes work.
Rules
Typically we use this wizard when we know either a customer name and/or a postcode and these should be passed to the wizard by the calling page.
Operation
The calling page will have called this wizard passing in the customer name and/or the postcode. Also the mode will have been passed. A list of matching supplier is presented to the user (if any match at all). The user can click the 'select' button to select a customer which will be returned to the calling page.
